Because flannel is such an easy fabric for manufacturers of duvet covers to work with, the options for prints, colors, and patterns of designs on this type of flannel bedding are nearly limitless. Especially popular for childrens bedding and licensed designs, flannel has seen a significant resurgence in the past few years.

Although historically limited to bedrooms sporting an outdoor motif (as in the stereotypical lumberjack flannel print), flannel is breaking out of this mold and into more sophisticated interior designs that look nothing like the quilted flannel shirt you might wear on a deep woods expedition.

In fact, the flannel duvet cover is now being seen in bright colors and soft pastels just as often as in its traditional plaid pattern.
